Impact investing: what’s next?
Impact investing is characterized by the activity of investing in companies, organizations and funds that work with the aim of generating a measurable social impact and consistent with economic performance. Virtuous business ventures need an economic support and impact finance tools operate in this direction. The course will focus also on the evolution of the European legislation in the finance sector, which is in a process of revision in order to be more adherent to the sustainability objectives defined by the Paris Agreement and 2030 Agenda. The market of sustainable investments will be analyzed through case studies, as well as different tools (SIB, DIB and Outcome Fund) that – following the «pay for success» and «pay by result» models – which subordinate the return of investment and the related remuneration to the effective realization of social impact.
