Sylvain Bureau

Sylvain Bureau, Ph.D. from Ecole Polytechnique, is the Scientific Director of the Jean-Baptiste Say Institute at ESCP Europe.

His key research topic is related to creative practices in entrepreneurship (within startups or large corporations), on which he is collaborating with colleagues at Stanford University and University College of London. Based on his research, Sylvain created the Art Thinking: a method to create the improbable with certainty. He teaches this method at ESCP Europe, especially to large corporations facing disruption and the transformation of work (Orange, Canon, Galeries Lafayette, La Redoute, BPCE, Sacem…), as well as at Stanford, HEC Montreal, Oulu University, or 42. The Improbable seminars are always organized in unique locations like the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Musée des Beaux Arts of Montreal or Edge Tokyo in Japan.

Sylvain is also the co-founder of Storymakers, an app that you can use to create pitches on an online one-pager. He published Free Your Pitch (Pearson, 2018) which share the storytelling method used by Storymakers to help you with impact.
