Filippo Barbera is Full Professor of Economic Sociology at University of Turin. He holds a PhD in Sociology (Univeristy of Milan) and a Master Degree in Political Science (University of Turin). He is an Affiliate at Collegio Carlo Alberto. He has been Visiting Professor and Fellow in several internationally renowned Universities (Oxford, Cardiff, Cornell). His research interests are Social Innovation, Local development, Foundational economy and Sociological theory. He has published extensively on labour and inner territories of Italy on several scientific journals and books among which Foundational Economy, Manchester University Press (2018) as Foundational Economy collective and (with Tania Parisi) Innovatori sociali.
