Daniel is an experienced leader, a digital transformation and user experience expert. He has been educated in user research, socio-technical system design and digital transformation. He is fascinated by how new technologies and societal trends are transforming how and where we live, what we work on and with whom we collaborate. He has a PHD on future responsibilities and Internet of Things application from the ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
Daniel Boos is responsible for the topic user experience at the main public transportation company in Switzerland. He leads a team of user experience architects who deliver internal user experience services and expertise. His team consults and enables employees to apply human centered design in business and innovation projects. The aim is to increase the overall user experience maturity of the company.
Before switching to the transportation industry, he was part of the leadership team for future work experience at the enterprise division of a large telecommunications provider in Switzerland. He was responsible for product and service innovation in the areas of enterprise collaboration technologies, future of work and “work smart”.
For more than a decade, he has been committed to apply human-centred design approaches in organizations to increase their user centricity and to improve the user experience of their products and services. As a leader, he relies on agile leadership principles, both for his team and for company wide collaboration. With leadership peers he established a companywide customer experience community. He actively fosters exchanges with experts, both in-house and cross-company.
